FAQ

Hours and Reservations

  • Yes, we do have a specific age limit. Anyone 12-17 years old may throw as long as a parent or guardian is present and able to sign their liability or release.

In our pub, you must be 21 or older to drink alcohol on our premises. We will ask for your ID, so make sure you have it with you.

  • We do not have our own parking lot, but there is free parking on the street, and the city has a few free parking areas that are within close walking distance. One option is; turn right off of Center Street, onto Main Street, make a left onto the alley by Fahey Bank. There is city parking there. Once you’ve parked, walk towards the overpass and turn left unto Prospect Street, cross at the light we are located past Amato’s Pizza on the left. Option two; the parking lot on the left past Kin and Kilt this is the closest, but usually fills up fast. Option three; Parking on Center Street and Church Street.

  • Reservations are highly recommended to guarantee a lane for your group. However, similar to a bowling alley, walk-ins are always welcome during our standard open hours as long as there is a throwing lane available.

Wait times will vary depending on the day and time so make sure to check our online schedule to see if reservations are available.

You can reserve a lane online or call us at 740-914-4037.

  • Additional group members can pay on-site but we generally recommend no more than 6 people per lane. With more than 6 on a lane, you may not get to throw as much as you like. That being said, the more the merrier!

  • We ask that all guests arrive at least 15 minutes before their reservation for a quick safety talk and coaching session. Try not to be late or your time in the lane could get cut short.

  • Our Loch event room is the perfect spot for parties of up to 40 people.

The room will be set up for your estimated number of guests with round tables, and chairs. There is a large screen TV for presentations or to watch the big game. The Loch room is a quaint area for corporate events, holiday parties, and birthday/bachelor/bachelorette/baby showers. It can be rented with or without throwing lanes.

Give us a call for pricing. We hope our customers support all of our local businesses downtown and have food delivered/catered. We have several options nearby. Don’t forget to request cutlery, napkins and condiments from your caterer or bring your own.

  • We would love to host your next event, whether its a group outing, team-building event, or fundraiser. Call or email us for available reservation times, package pricing, and any special requests your group may have.

  • We know things come up and plans change. We ask that you give us a 48 hours notice for cancellations and after that we’re always happy to help you reschedule to another available day or time. We can also issue a gift certificate in the amount of your reservation for convenient use at a later date. No refund or gift card will be issued if you no show/no call for your reservation.

  • Of course!

Axe Throwing

  • Axe Throwing Prices per hour ( 4 people to a lane )

    1 Person $40
    2 or more $25
    10 or more $20

  • Throwing lane is enclosed in fencing and everyone must go through a short training and safety program to ensure the thrower and those watching are safe. Like any sport, axe throwing is not free from risk, but our lanes will be monitored to keep people safe, and drinking is limited to one drink prior to throwing. Patrons may fully enjoy the pub once your throwing reservation is over. And like anything, good judgment and attention should be paid while throwing.

  • The axes we throw are standard World Axe Throwing League size.

  • Each participant will go through a short safety and training session to learn how to throw properly and safely.

  • Throwing an axe and having it stick to the target consistently will take some practice. However, the vast majority of our guests hit the target area just after a handful of practice throws.

  • We require all throwers to wear closed-toed shoes and we highly discourage high heels. We want to keep your toes safe in the unlikely event of a dropped axe and also make sure that our female guests don’t twist their ankles while throwing.

  • We do permit outside axes to be thrown at Kin & Kilt, but they must be WATL approved and sheathed until ready to use in the throwing lane.

  • Yes, all guests are required to sign a waiver before throwing. And yes, all information in the waiver is required, even if you are not throwing. The privacy of your information is very important to us. We will never share or sell your personal information.

  • We have no minimum group size and we will always try for your group to have your own private throwing lane whenever possible.

As long as lanes are available there is no maximum group size for your party. We recommend no more than 6 people per lane so no one has to wait too long between turns. For large groups give us a call to reserve the proper number of lanes.

LEAGUES (Starts spring)

  • $125.00

  • Our leagues are played as two-person teams in a bracketed, round-robin style league of friendly competition. Our leagues are co-ed. Each week there is an additional mini-series tournament of a weekly rotating skills game.

  • There is no previous experience required and league nights are open to all skill levels. Our league nights are meant for the community to come together and have a fun experience with a little friendly competition. We spend 8 weeks together and our coaches will train you and provide you with tips/tricks to get better throughout the course of the season. It is also common for other league members to pass their knowledge on to other members.

  • 1 night per week for 8 consecutive weeks for about two hours each night.

  • Thursdays.

  • If you miss a night then you will need to make up your throws before the start of the next week. If you can’t make it in to make up your throws then your score for the day you missed will be marked as zero.
